Accessible Contemporary Music
Accessible Contemporary Music’s mission is to promote the performance and understanding of
contemporary music, especially the music of living composers. We have as our target audience both those already acquainted
with contemporary music and those who may not even realize that there are people still composing concert music today.
American Composers Orchestra
American Composers Orchestra is the world’s only orchestra dedicated to the infinite variety
of American music. ACO performs at Carnegie Hall. Founded in 1977 by composers Francis Thorne and Nicholas Roussakis, Music
Director Dennis Russell Davies, and Resident Conductor Paul Lustig Dunkel, ACO has played works by 500 composers, including
over 100 world premieres and commissions, generating more new American symphonic works than any other orchestra..
Auros
Auros Group for New Music is based in Boston and has become one of New England's premier contemporary chamber music
ensembles. Comprised of the area's finest young musicians, Auros conveys fiery enthusiasm and passionate devotion to the
music of today's composers. Through diverse and challenging programming and acclaimed performances, the group's annual
concert series has developed a large and enthusiastic following.
Bang on a Can
Bang on a Can started in 1987. Since that time they have presented more than one hundred and fifty musical events in
New York City, ranging from a tribute to Morton Feldman to the only New York performances of Harry Partch's music on
original instruments since Partch's death, to the commissioning and premiere of Bun-Ching Lam's Child God -- an opera
accompanied by the Yueh Lun Shadow Puppet Theater, to the presentation of a "comic book opera" based on the cartoons and
libretto of comic book artist Ben Katchor, to twelve Bang on a Can Marathons.
Bonk
Bonk, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation has been producing The Bonk Festival of New Music since 1994. Bonk receives
generous grant support from the Cultural Development Grant program of the Arts Council of Hillsborough County (Florida)
and the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Arts Council, and continues to seek recognition from other
national, state and local granting organizations.
Brave New Works
Brave New Works is a vibrant performing ensemble of ten musicians dedicated to performing and promoting new music. The
mission of Brave New Works is to engage, enrich and educate through contemporary music.
CUBE
CUBE Contemporary Chamber Ensemble brings music of today to Chicago audiences. Within its
varied and imaginative programs, the ensemble explores music from around the world - as well as local works from Chicago's
estimable music community.
Het El Bimaci Saxofoon Kwartet
The El Bimaci Saxophone quartet was founded in 1995 by Ellis Hendriksen. Current members of
this ensemble are Ellis Hendriksen, Ciske van den Oever, Bianca Kuijpers, and Marijke van Uden.
The International Contemporary Ensemble
The International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) is a uniquely structured chamber group
comprised of dynamic, versatile young performers and composers. ICE exists to create, perform and advance the music of our
time. Through innovative programming, commissions by young composers, multimedia collaborations, and performances in
non-traditional venues, ICE redefines classical music as it brings together new work and new listeners.
Kronos Quartet
The Kronos Quartet/Kronos Performing Arts Association is a non-profit organization based in San Francisco. The
organization's artistic mission is to present and promote contemporary music and expand the repertoire for string
